EMERGENCY services are dealing with a crash in Felixstowe after two cars were involved in a head on collision.

The incident happened at about 6.40pm at the junction of Garrison Lane and High Road East and involved a silver Ford Fiesta from Hadleigh and a blue Nissan Micra, driven by an elderly couple from Felixstowe.

Firefighters cut the roof off one vehicle to free two passengers from the wreckage and ambulance crews have taken two people to hospital, although neither is seriously hurt.
