The Environment Agency has today issued a weather warning from Lowestoft to Bawdsey.
Phil Garner, a forecaster for WeatherQuest, said that up to 25mm of rain was expected to fall over the course of the day.
He added: “It's been a very wet February for this region - with double the amount of expected rainfall falling.
“So far today we've had about 12-15mm of rain - and by the end of the day we're expecting that to reach 25mm.”
Mr Garner said that there would be further outbreaks of rain across the region throughout today.

However, the weather enthusiast later said warmer weather could be heading to Suffolk next week, as a band of high pressure reached the region.
