A stretch of the A12 near Witham has been closed by emergency services following a four-vehicle collision this morning.
According to the AA, the crash involved a lorry and three cars and happened on the southbound carriageway between junction 23 at Kelvedon South and junction 22 at Witham.
The road had been blocked since 7am today, Friday, January 25, to assist emergency services working at the scene.
The collision is causing heavy congestion on the southbound carriageway.
