DRIVERS have been advised to approach a stretch of the A12 with caution after a collision between a van and a lorry.
Police were called to the scene of the accident, on the northbound carriageway near East Bergholt, at around 7am.
Reports indicate the crash happened after one of the vehicles attempted to pass the other, which had broken down at the side of the road.
No one was injured in the collision but one lane of the carriageway is still blocked just north of the Four Sisters interchange.
A police spokeswoman suggested driving conditions may have been made difficult by poor weather, saying: βIt's very wet out there at the moment and we're seeing large puddles which can cause problems for drivers.β
