SUFFOLK police are appealing for help in tracing a Hollesley Bay prisoner who absconded yesterday.
Lee Chapman, 34, who was serving a life sentence for robbery and arson, was last seen at the prison at 6am this morning and was found to be missing around 8.20am.
Chapman has connections to the Peterborough area and is described as white, around 5ft 11ins tall, of slim to medium build with brown hair and blue eyes. It is not known what clothing he was wearing at the time he went missing.
If anyone sees Chapman they should phone the police with the details. They should not approach him or take any further action.
Anyone who may have seen him, or who may have information about where he is now should contact Suffolk police or their nearest police station using the new national number 101.
