A Hollesley Bay prisoner that absconded from the prison two weeks ago has been located in Essex.

Anthony Smith, who was serving a six month sentence for burglary, absconded from prison on Tuesday, October 23 and was found today (Wednesday, December 5) in the Brentwood area of Essex.

He will be returned to prison in due course.

Suffolk police want to thank the public and press for their work in finding Smith.
