FIRE crews were called out to a single-vehicle crash in west Suffolk in the early hours of this morning.
The accident happened at about 2.45amam in Eriswell Road, Holywell Row and crews from Mildenhall, Brandon and the rescue vehicle from Newmarket were sent to the incident and the first crew was on the scene by 03:03.
One person, a man in his 50s, was trapped and crews used hydraulic cutting gear to rescue him from the vehicle.
He was suffering from a back injury and was taken by ambulance to West Suffolk Hospital.
The incident was over by 3.49am and crews had returned to their bases by 4.14am.
