A HOME-owner was left stunned after her own car plunged into her living room.

The incident, which happened at about 9pm on Wednesday, left a house in Little Wratting, near Haverhill, with serious damage to the front wall.

The house was damaged after a car parked outside was hit by another car driven by a man who had gone into diabetic shock.

About 20 fire fighters, police and paramedic staff were called to the scene of the crash. The driver was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge after being cut free from his vehicle by firefighters.

The owner of the detached house, Christine Alberry, said she was relieved nobody was killed adding: “property can be replaced, lives cannot.”
