Ipswich Borough Council is reminding residents to check which days their bins are being emptied over Christmas.

The festive rota is available online at ipswich.gov.uk/bins where you can search by street name to find out when your bins will be collected this Christmas.

Debbie Reeve, waste services manager at ipswich Borough Council, said: “We’ve got 60,000 homes to cover and as Christmas is on a Thursday it means a bit of a change around.

“Our new four-day round system copes with other bank holidays but, like everyone else, we have to move some collection days forwards - and some backwards.

“Crews will be out next Monday, December 22, and that week before Christmas your bin will be emptied a day early.”

Homeowners are reminded to put their bins out before 6am to ensure they are emptied by early morning collections.
