THIEVES broke into a locked garage and stole two bicycles in Honington.

The garage, in a block of garages in Woodside View, had been left locked and secured on Thursday, February 7.

But it was not until the owner next went to go in the building on Monday, February 18, that the burglary was discovered.

A police spokesman said: “The lock on the up-and-over door had been broken to gain access to the garage, allowing the thieves to shut the door afterwards so all appeared as normal.

“The bicycles stolen were both men’s mountain bikes, one being a grey and black ‘Giant 2000’ and the other a white and black ‘GT Avalanche’ with white and red writing on the wheel rims.”
