The inquest into the death of a mechanic who was crushed by a vehicle he was working on is set to begin.
Kevin Alderton, 34, of Redlingfield Road, Horham, died on February 8 last year, at a business premises in Upgate Road, Seething, Norfolk.
An initial hearing heard how Mr Alderton had become trapped between the rear wheel and the chassis of the agricultural vehicle. A post mortem revealed he died from asphyxiation as a result of compression of the chest but the incident was not treated as suspicious. A full inquest will begin at 10am on February 24 at Norwich Corner’s Court in Thorpe Road.
