A tractor trailer shed a load of hay bales on the A143 in Horringer this afternoon.
Police were notified of the incident at 1.17pm to help direct traffic after the tractor trailer lost its load at the junction to Westley Lane.
Police helped traffic while a forklift truck moved the bales back onto the trailer.
The incident was dealt with within an hour. A Suffolk police spokesman said some straw had been left on the road to be collected by the farmer later.
