FIREFIGHTERS were called to an unusual rescue this afternoon to help free a horse stuck in a ditch.
The incident happened on Wicken Hall Road in Hinderclay at about 12.40pm.
One crew from Ixworth fire station arrived at the scene followed by an off-road vehicle from Bury St Edmunds.
The first crew on the scene managed to rescue the animal from the ditch by 2.12pm.
