A dog chased three horses in a field in the village of Bedfield, near Framlingham, which resulted in one of them having to be put down.

And now police in Suffolk are appealing for information about the incident which took place on Saturday at around noon.

The dog, which is described as brown/fawn bull terrier and was with a woman thought to be the owner, got into a paddock and chased three horses for approximately 15 minutes.

The owner noticed the next day that one of the horses had suffered an injury as a result of the incident and had to be put down.

Police are reminding dog owners to take appropriate steps to keep their pets under control as they are responsible for them and their conduct when out walking.
