A trapped horse has had to be sedated so that firefighters and can pull it out of the water.
Suffolk firefighters were called to Robson’s Farm in Nethergate Street, Hopton, near Diss, at 1.28pm to reports the animal was stuck after wandering into a 4ft ditch from a nearby field.
Fire engines from Bury St Edmunds and Ixworth attended, along with a fire support vehicle.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue service said the 17-hand horse was not in discomfort but was sedated so that crews could lift the animal out.
