FIRE crews rescued a horse from a water-filled ditch this evening.
They were called to the incident in Bylams Lane, Chelmondiston, shortly before 8pm.
One engine and an emergency rescue ladder from Princes Street fire station, Ipswich, and a four-wheel drive vehicle from Bury St Edmunds were mobilised.
Suffolk Fire Service said crews, under the supervision of a vet, freed the horse using manpower shortly after 8.30pm.
