TWO people suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash close to the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border this evening.

It is thought two vehicles were involved in the crash on the A1307 near Horseheath at 7.25pm this evening, with two of the occupants suffering serious injuries.

Volunteer doctor Fiona Andrews and volunteer paramedic, Mark Milsom from the emergency medical charity, Suffolk Accident Rescue Service were called out to assist two Cambridge ambulance crews at the scene of the incident.

After helping treat a young male patient at the scene, Dr Andrews then accompanied him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in case further assistance was required en route. Two people, the male and a female, were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
