Mainline train journeys were delayed for up to an hour this morning.
Services between Liverpool Street and Norwich were affected by the hold-ups, which were caused by a signalling problem at Maryland.
The problem meant trains were delayed by up to an hour between London Liverpool Street and Shenfield.
