Fire crews extinguished a house fire in Colchester this afternoon.
Working crews were called to the incident in Roman Road, at 12.01pm, after reports of a heavily smoke logged terraced house.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus entered the property and quickly tackled the fire.
A spokesman said the firefighters then used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the building.
They had competed their work at the scene by 1.04pm.
