A man has claimed he was forced to become involved in the supply of beroin and cocaine from a house in Ipswich after threats were made against him and his family.

Moses Miesi told Ipswich Crown Court that he initially visited a house in Turin Street, Ipswich with a friend to smoke “weed”.

When he visited the house again he claimed he was forced by two men to stay at the property to guard drugs and the proceeds from the sale of drugs and was told he and his family would be harmed if he didn’t do as he was told.

Miesi, 23, of London, admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine in May last year on the basis that he was forced to guard the drugs after threats were made to him and his family.

Also before the court was Shaun Cattermole, 26, of Turin Street, Ipswich, who admitted permitting premises in Turin Street, Ipswich, to be used for the supply of heroin and cocaine in May last year.

The case was adjourned until tomorrow.
