January is the busiest time of year for travel agents in Suffolk but new data shows just 15% of us book package holidays.
The package holiday boomed in the 1950s and 60s when the age of cheap flights came about, giving thousands of families the opportunity to enjoy their first experience of foreign travel.
However, research conducted by Travelex to mark the company’s 40th anniversary shows that now just 15% of us opt for package holidays, with other prefering independent travel.
