Our county is full of many magnificent locations to visit, whether its a walk across a beach or witnessing a royal Anglo-Saxon burial site. The National Trust is responsible for caring for many parts of the country and that is no different for Suffolk. There are eight locations across the county that the Trust manages, ranging from the picturesque Stour Valley and Dedham Vale, famous for the landscape paintings by Suffolk’s very own John Constable, to the remarkable Georgian Italianate palace that is Ickworth house.

The National Trust was founded in 1895 by three people who loved the heritage of our country and wanted to preserve it for future generations to enjoy.

They care for all kinds locations and places of interest throughout the UK, with over 775 miles of coastline, 248,000 hectares of land, over 500 historic buildings and reserves and almost one million objects and works of art for the public to enjoy.
