Clive Thomas was found at the bottom of a flight of stairs at his home in Coddenham Road, Needham Market, in the early hours of Sunday.
Officers were contacted by the ambulance service at about 4.22am to reports of the sudden death of a 52-year-old male.
A police spokesperson said the results of the post mortem tests carried out today, were inconclusive and further tests will now be carried out.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained and has been referred to the coroner.
