An artisan coffee shop will soon be serving its signature brews from a second branch.

Woodbridge-based Honey + Harvey is set to open another shop in neighbouring Melton.

The new venue is set to open its doors next month at the Riduna Park business estate, built on the old Girdlestones pump suppliers’ engineering works, opposite Melton railway station.

Riduna Park is already home to the district council’s East Suffolk House offices – and work recently started on the second phase of construction for another nine units.

Honey + Harvey’s second shop will be open for business in the second week of October.

The new coffee house will cater for up to 55, have a self-service takeaway counter, seat 25 outside and create 15 full-time jobs.

The building’s interior is being managed by the Birch Group based in Ipswich.

Harvey Allen, who established the flagship branch in Woodbridge’s Thoroughfare, in October 2011, said: “We’re delighted to be opening at Riduna Park in just a few weeks’ time.

“It’s a great setting for the business, given its proximity to the train station, and being on the site of the new council offices, as well as being en route for traffic accessing the peninsular and heritage coast.

“We have some really exciting plans in store for the business and local community, and are really looking forward to opening the doors.”

Ben Allen, from Birch Construction, said: “The fit-out of the Honey + Harvey premises has been a great project for us and we’re really enjoying creating such a unique, fun, and yet thoroughly practical hospitality environment.”

Honey + Harvey’s first outlet has expanded significantly in recent years – now employing 24 members of staff.

Mr Allen added: “The Honey + Harvey brand has seen huge progress since we launched in 2011, and our second coffee house is part of our evolving story, where we’re constantly looking at how we can best serve our customers.

“We’re excited that the launch of our second premises coincides with us going live with a fantastic new app, which will mean loyal customers can even pre-order and pay for their lunch from us to save time.”
