Essex Police are seeking information about a burglary in Clacton earlier this month.
It happened at a house in Burrs Road between 9.45am and 12.45pm on July 23.
Thieves first smashed a rear conservatory door to try and get inside before prising open a kitchen window.
Once inside an untidy search was made and jewellery was taken including a nine carat gold lattice lapel fob, a nine carat gold tie pin with a turquoise head and a nine carat gold chain with a pocket watch key attached.
Anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area or who is offered any of these items for sale is asked to call DC Emma Beynon at Clacton CID on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
