POLICE will not be taking any further action into the investigation of a stabbing in Ipswich.
A 29-year-old man received serious wounds to his leg during an alleged fight in a block of flats in St Helen's Street at around 11pm on Friday.
A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and was questioned by detectives but has now been released without charge.
A Suffolk Police spokesman said: “He was released without charge. No further action will be taken due to information that has come to light.”
The victim's injuries were described as serious but not life threatening.
