An investigation will take place into the cause of a fire which engulfed a caravan in Ardleigh, near Colchester.

The incident happened in Waterhouse Lane at about 7.55pm. Two fire crews from Colchester were sent to the scene.

The caravan was in a garden and firefighters on the scene reported that it was completely alight.

They wore breathing apparatus and use two hose reels to extinguish the blaze by 8.25pm.
