POLICE in Essex have charged a 29-year-old woman from Colchester with causing death by careless driving.
The collision happened when a Ford KA and a Ford Ranger collided on the B1023 Kelvedon Road at Inworth, near Tiptree at around 5.40pm on December 12 last year.
The front seat passenger in the KA, 25-year-old Charlie Punter from Vicarage Court in Colchester, died.
The female driver of the KA was taken to hospital and arrested the following day.
She has now been charged with causing the death of Mr Punter by driving without due care and attention. She has been released on police bail to attend Colchester Magistrates Court on September 25.
