Police and paramedics were called out to a property in Norwich Road following reports of a woman being injured.
Officers were called at 1.15pm yesterday and the East Anglian Air Ambulance was also called to attend the scene.
Motorists in the Valley Road area were hit with delays after the air ambulance landed near the junction. The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
