Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Ipswich.

The incident happened in Cliff Road outside a pub at approximately 4.30am on Saturday, January 4.

A 44-year-old man was walking along the pavement when he saw a man on a bike talking to the male occupants of a dark coloured Peugeot 306, which then drove out of Toller Road. The man on the bike and the car passed the victim.

The man who had been on the bike approached the victim from behind shortly afterwards and demanded property. The victim handed over a pack of cigarettes, an amount of cash and a Nokia mobile phone. He then ran away from the offender and was not injured from the incident.

The offender is a described as a white man, aged between 20 to 25-years-old, between 5’9” and 6 foot tall, had a ‘spotty complexion’, was of a muscular build and was wearing a grey hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms. He was riding on a white BMX bike and carrying a white rucksack.
