A boy has been arrested and charged with drugs offences following a truancy operation in Ipswich yesterday.
The 16-year-old boy from London was stopped by police officers and truancy officers from Suffolk County Council in St Matthews Street at around 1.30pm.
He was found to be in possession of drugs, cash and a knife and was arrested and taken into custody at the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
He was charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug (heroin), possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug (cocaine) and possession of a knife blade in a public place.
He is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court this morning.
