PART of a busy Ipswich road was closed for about half an hour on Thursday evening because of a car fire.
Firefighters and police were mobilised to the blaze, in Spring Road, at about 9.30pm.
The blaze affected a silver Ford Focus, which was on the junction of St John’s Road. A Toyota Yaris parked near the Ford car suffered minor damage because of the blaze.
The road was closed either side of the scene while firefighters extinguished the blaze, which was under control by about 10.05pm.
