RAIL passengers are still facing problems on their journeys home this evening with disruption on several lines.

Trains were delayed due to signalling problems at Stratford meaning the service was running at a reduced speed.

Although the problems have been resolved and the line has been reopened, some services may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised at short notice. Disruption is expected to remain until 10pm.

Earlier problems with trains running through Ely are also continuing with all services running at a reduced speed on all lines.

Passengers travelling between Ipswich and Cambridge can expect delays of up to two hours or revised services. All stations between Ipswich and Peterborough will not be served and the disruption is expected to remain until 1am.
