A RESIDENTIAL street in Ipswich was filled with smoke after a car caught on fire.
The blaze in Back Hamlet, near the entrance to Grove Lane, was reported at just before 6pm and ifirefighters and police were sent to the scene.
An eyewitness, who asked not to be named, said: “The road was filling up with smoke. You would think that people would keep their distance, but everyone was getting close and having a look.”
The flames were extinguished by 6.20pm.
