Firefighters were called to help free a cat after it got its head stuck in a rat trap.
Crews were called to a home in Vicarage Lane in Wherstead at 6.43am today.
On arrival they found a cat with its head stuck in a plastic rat trap. They used cable cutters to free the animal.
Crews stood down from the scene at 7.08am.
