A collection of vintage vehicles went on display in Ipswich over the weekend to preview an upcoming military tournament in aid of serving soldiers, veterans and their families.
The official launch of the Colchester Military Tournament on Sunday saw shoppers in Cornhill greeted by a selection vehicles provided by the East Anglian Fighting Vehicle Group.
Event organisers, the East Anglia region of the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, organised the visit to promote the “biggest and best military event” in East Anglia.
Staged on the weekend of July 5 and 6 in Abbey Field, Colchester, the tournament will feature a Spitfire fly-past, death-defying motocross stunts, and a parachute display, alongside bands, re-enactments and other attractions.
