Ipswich: Crews tackle chip pan fire

CREWS were called to a fire in a home last night.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue received a call to Pinmill Close, Ipswich, at about 8.10pm on Friday February 15, reporting a chip pan fire.

Appliances from Princes Street, Ipswich, arrived at the scene to find a chip pan alight in a ground floor flat.

Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze.

The fire was under control by about 8.40pm.
