A driver was taken to hospital with head injuries after his car collided with a coach at a junction in Ipswich this morning.

The injured man’s Toyota Corolla was involved in a crash at the junction of Warrington Road and Ivry Street at around 9.40am.

Suffolk police closed the road while the “badly damaged” car was removed and paramedics attended to the injured driver.

A police spokesman said the injuries were not life-threatening and the road was reopened by 11.20am.

There are no details about the coach or its passengers.
