TWO fire crews were dispatched after a bird was reported in trouble in Ipswich.
The fire engine and a separate turntable ladder were sent to Central Avenue to help the RSPCA with a bird rescue.
The first team arrived shortly after 2pm today and the bird was freed into the care of the RSPCA about half an hour later.
Both teams of fire fighters were back at base by 2.38pm.
