Ipswich: Firefighters called to homes

FIREFIGHTERS have been called to two homes in Ipswich.

Just before 3.30pm today a crew from Princes Street was sent to Lupin Road following reports of a garden fire.

They discovered a row of conifers well alight and used a hose reel to extinguish by 3.55pm.

At just after 2.15pm two appliances, also from Princes Street, went to a ground floor flat in Austin Street to tackle a fire in a cooker.

However when they arrived it had already been extinguished.
