Ipswich fish and chip shop Codfellas has scooped a prestigious award for its frying skills to secure a place among the UK’s top 225 fish and chip shops.
Codfellas received the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) Fish & Chip Quality Award following a rigorous assessment process of the quality of the shop’s fish and chips, hygiene standards and working practices.
The award is touted by the NFFF, which is the trade body that represents the nation’s fish and chip shops, as a way of promoting fish and chip restaurants and enhancing the profile of the industry.
Ipswich Codfellas owner Bob Singh said: “We are very pleased to receive this prestigious award.
“To be recognized as one of the top fish and chip shops by the NFFF credit to our hardworking staff who I would like to offer my thanks for their continued hard work and efforts to maintain our excellent reputation.”
