Don’t be alarmed if you see fire engines at Ipswich Hospital this morning – this is what’s happening.
There will be an emergency exercise taking place at the Heath Road site between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
A hospital spokeswoman said: “Please don’t be alarmed. We are having a practice fire evacuation from parts of the building. There will be fire engines on site, but all clinical services will carry on as usual.”
The major incident will be played out by volunteers.
