A man has been charged with the murder of Russell Capon who died from stab wounds following an incident at Saturn Road, Ipswich, early on June 13.
Jason Miller, of Saturn Road, Ipswich, was arrested the same day and subsequently detained under the Mental Health Act.
Police today said the 37-year-old has been charged with Mr Capon’s murder, and actual bodily harm against a 57-year-old woman.
Miller was due to appear before Ipswich magistrates today.
Police were called to flats in Saturn Road at approximately 2.50am to a report of a stabbing at the property.
Officers and paramedics attended the scene where Mr Capon, 37, from Ramsgate Drive, Ipswich, was found with stab wounds.
He was taken to Ipswich Hospital where he died.
A 57-year-old woman was also found at the scene with leg injuries and was taken to Ipswich hospital to be treated.
