Ipswich: Labourer facing six sex assaults has case committed to crown court

A labourer has appeared in court charged with six sex assaults on women in Ipswich.
Krzysztof Bak, of Bransby Gardens, Ipswich, faces allegations spanning a period of just over two months.
The 29 year old appeared before South East Suffolk Magistrates Court yesterday after being arrested on Thursday morning.
Bak, who was wearing a grey sweatshirt and long denim shorts, spoke to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
However, he told the magistrates he would not be entering a plea at this stage.
The allegations Bak is facing are said to have taken place between March 10 and May 19.
All of the charges allege Bak sexually touched women over the age of 16.

Prosecutor Colette Harper asked for the case to be sent to Ipswich Crown Court.
Mrs Harper said: “The Crown say this is not suitable to be dealt with in this jurisdiction.”
The court heard the allegations against Bak took place on March 10, April 23 and April 24. The remaining three charges were said to have involved assaults which occurred on Monday afternoon.
Bak is accused of putting his hand under the women’s skirts.
Aspects of the case were discussed during the hearing. However, these can not be reported due to legal restrictions.
Bak, a Polish national, has been in the UK for nine years and works in the building trade.
An application for bail was made on his behalf by his solicitor Ita Farrelly.
However, Bak was remanded in custody and his case committed to Ipswich Crown Court.
His next hearing is scheduled to take place on June 13.
