A LORRY driver has been taken to hospital after he collided with another truck earlier this afternoon.

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) were alerted the eastbound carriageway near to the Bucklesham turning at 2.30pm. An ambulance and rapid response car from Ipswich attended the scene.

Clinical operations manager Damon Wheddon, who attended the scene said: “The man who we believe to be in his 30s sustained a neck injury and following treatment, stabilisation and immobilisation at the roadside, he was taken to Ipswich Hospital for further care.”

Damon added: “I would like to thank the ambulance crews and fire service for working really well together to remove the man safely from the cab to the awaiting ambulance.”

EEAST has no other information regarding this RTC.
