A man accused of making threats with a shotgun has been arrested by police in Ipswich.

The suspect was stopped by officers in the Ancaster Road area at around 4pm today in relation to alleged threats made last night.

Suffolk Constabulary received reports from a man in the West Meadows area at around 6.50pm yesterday claiming he had been threatened “with what may have been a shotgun”.

Investigations are ongoing, a police spokesman said.
