A man is currently being quizzed by police on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon after it was alleged he was seen carrying a knife in an Ipswich street.
Police were called to Bramford Lane at about 3pm today following a report from a member of the public.
The police helicopter was also called and a man, aged 21, was arrested.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said the man is also being questioned on suspicion of affray and conspiracy to supply cannabis.
He is currently being held at the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
