A man who was arrested yesterday in Ipswich following a police manhunt including the police helicopter has been bailed.
The 49-year-old from Ipswich was detained near McGinty’s pub on suspicion of criminal damage and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre but was today bailed until May 7.
Yesterday at 4.30pm a member of the public reported seeing a man walking towards the Buttermarket holding a gun. Police sent units including an armed response team and a helicopter to search the town before making the arrest near McGinty’s.
