A man arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a teenager as she walked home through a park in Ipswich has been bailed by police.

The 19-year-old victim was allegedly attacked in Gippeswyk Park at around 3.30am on Friday, April 25, when a man grabbed her backside before she pushed him away and walked off. The man reportedly followed her again and grabbed her by the arms. A struggle ensued and the victim managed to free herself before running off.

The 32-year-old Ipswich man who was arrested in connection with the assault has been bailed to return to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on June 19.
