Ipswich: Man mugged for phone and cash

Police are appealing for information after a man was robbed in Ipswich early today.

The incident occurred in the Bell Lane car park of the Old Bell Inn just before 3.45am.

Two men approached the 53-year-old victim and his girlfriend from behind. They hit the victim on the head before stealing his black iPhone 4S, along with cash, a chain with a pendant and a white watch with a black face, before making off towards the docks.

Both robbers are described as white. One wore a red top and blue bottoms, with three or four stripes down the leg. The other is described as about 5ft 8in, thin, with mousey coloured hair and wearing blue jeans and a dark short-sleeved shirt.
